Work With Amanda!
In our work together, we will identify your concrete goals with clear session agendas, unveil the barriers that are impeding you from achieving those goals, and provide action items to implement in between sessions.
TELETHERAPY
Online therapy (teletherapy) is a great option as it offers convenience and flexibility and our sessions can take place at your home or even in your car. Teletherapy provides a valuable alternative to in person therapy, whether you choose it because you do not have much spare time or because you would just prefer this over face to face. Online therapy can also be a great resource for those who can’t get away from the house due to children and/or their busy activity/sports schedules, cant get away from school/work (but can take a break while at the office or on campus), have too busy of a schedule to add one more thing in the day to have to drive to, illness or physical disabilities prevent you from doing in person contact, or you simply want to be in the comfort of your own home where you can wear your pajamas and chillax while talking.
Online therapy can be done from wherever you are, as long as you have internet service. If you choose to utilize online therapy, we will use a HIPAA compliant platform and meet via video conferencing each session (This ensures all video communication is encrypted and never recorded or saved). Various devices may be used to connect including but not limited to laptops, smartphones, tablets, ipads, and desktops. In addition, research studies have reliably documented teletherapy as equally effective in treatment outcomes as in-person therapy for many common disorders and concerns.
***NOTE: There may be some circumstances or conditions where teletherapy is not in a client’s best interest. At all times a counselor reserves the right to determine appropriateness for teletherapy.
WALK AND TALK THERAPY
Walk Talk Therapy is just what it sounds like – therapy while we walk! Walk Talk brings so many good things together – the physiological and mental benefits of spending time outdoors, the physical and mental benefits of movement, plus all of the goodness of therapy! Walk Talk is a growing movement across our country and I’m happy to offer this in our community.
Who would Walk Talk be ideal for? Those experiencing: anxiety, depression, PTSD or other traumatic symptoms, adolescents and children, those who are uncomfortable to start therapy or uncomfortable with the traditional “in office” set up, or those who just like to move! This is also a great option for parents of young children who are in strollers – you are welcome to push them along as we work towards your goals! People often find that it is easier to open up in therapy while walking, as opposed to sitting still.
We will complete all intake sessions via teletherapy.

Life coaching is based on the here and now, with an emphasis on action-based efforts to achieve your tangible goals. Having a life coach can help you work through self-constraining thoughts and belief systems to increase alignment with your different parts. I can support you in developing concrete steps to obtain your goals, and gaining clarity on what gives you a sense of meaning and purpose. Coaching can help you get unstuck in areas of your life such as work, school, relationships, passion projects, or community organizing. As your life coach, I work with you on exploring some of the unhealthy habits in your life whether it be physical wellbeing/self care, work satisfaction, time management/routines, parenting, friendships and/or relationships.
In our work together, we will identify your concrete goals with clear session agendas, unveil the barriers that are impeding you from achieving those goals, and provide action items to implement in between sessions.
While you have the inherent wisdom to achieve this through your own internal resources, your coach can act as an accountability support to refine your unique journey in getting to a desired destination, finding meaning in the process of getting there, and creating space to cultivate a sense of your highest self.

“Amanda is a wonderful therapist she helps me understand my goals as well as helps me accomplish them. She helps me understand my emotions, what I need to do to control them better, and the things behind them. Amanda has helped me with my relationships and she gives me guidelines on how to make them better. She also makes me realize the importance of self care. Truly an outstanding therapist.”
