Work With Amanda!
I tailor my therapeutic approach and interventions to fit each individual client and what they are most comfortable with. People and situations are complex and unique. One size does not fit all. My main modes of therapy include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Talk Therapy and Strengths Based Therapy.
What type of payment do you accept?
Payments can be made via credit card through my secure scheduling platform.
Please note, barring illness or emergency, there is an automatic charge of half your session fee for any cancelled appointment within 24-hours of your appointment time. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with more than 24-hours notice will not be charged. A card is kept on file for each client but you may choose to pay with any method at the time of your appointment.
Do you accept medical insurance?
We do not accept insurance at this time. However, as an Out of Network provider, we can provide you with documentation for reimbursement by your insurance company should you meet minimal diagnostic criteria.
Why don’t you accept insurance?
One reason I do not accept insurance is that insurance companies require that we share your diagnosis and treatment notes in order to receive payment. This becomes part of your permanent medical record which may have negative consequences related to your employment, or when you are seeking new medical insurance or life insurance. Another reason that I do not take insurance, is because insurance companies require therapists to follow approved treatment methods and often limit the number of sessions that they cover.
These requirements may not always be in the best interest of the client.
By not accepting insurance, we can make sure that your therapeutic information remains confidential. We can also customize a treatment plan based on your individual needs and goals for therapy, instead of using a treatment plan dictated by insurance.
How often will I need to have sessions?
It’s totally up to you! I try to be flexible to best fit your needs, but typically I offer both 30 minute and 50 minute appointments and an online appointment calendar that allows you to go in and schedule
How long are sessions?
I offer a limited amount of adjusted appointments based on your income. Please reach out for further inquiry.
Cancellation Policy:
Appointments must be canceled within 24 hours with exceptions for true emergencies. A debit/credit card will be kept on file and a fee of $50 will be charged for missed appointments or those not canceled within 24 hours.
